Since I have been in Japan for almost 3 months I have realized soo many things I have taken for granted and there is one particular one that really got to me. The one thing that I take for granted is..Church! Im used to getting up on Sunday at 9 a.m. to my mom saying "Daniel, church starts in 30 min. and if your not ready you will walk to church." lol. My reaction always was what am I doing up so early it`s Sunday Im supposed to be sleeping still but of course I would get my lazy butt out of bed to go to the hour and a half services and just sitting there just goofing around not really paying attention to the passage, cause I was always like the passages are all the same so why listen. I knew when I left I wouldnt be in church for a while but I didn`t think it would have this big affect on me. But its not the messages I miss....it`s the Praise&Worship. I miss this because I always get this rush when I sing to him when I really mean it but and thats what I miss the most. It took me 3 months to realize this but now that I have realized it this is why I think I am here. I believe it was a wake up call from God saying this is what it is like without Me. Well these are my thoughts. I am still in search for a church out here.

I have found out what high school I will be attending in April of 2005! I will be attending Oyodo Senior High School yesss. They have a website but it's pretty corny, they website doesnt really have anything to do with the school but more the weather and pictuers around the school so you can't see the school but live pictures of the area around it. I have recieved e-mails from my host sister Misaki Ikeda and my English teacher Nishimura Kazuo which is cool. Well thats all the updated info on my trip to Japan. Today I spent my whole day at the high school playing my trumpet with some great musicians from NIU (Northern Illinois Univeristy) we had a clinic with them and it went very well and I picked up some good info on my instrument. We had a concert and went very well and when NIU got to perform it was amazing! They are brilliant especially with their guest Donald Harrison highly recomend buying or dl some of his music.

Yesterday and Today I played in the Christmas Cup up in Brookfield,WI close to Milwaukee. Yesterday I played with a the University of Stevens Point coed team and we lost every single game but at least I had 2 goals and 4 assists which I was happy about because I was playing with college kids who are playing D1 & D2 which is really good. Today I played with my club team Brookfield. We placed 4th but it was a good tourney. The first game was truly one of the worst games because we got crushed by a Serbian team 11-1 but I had the assist in that game, the next game we played a coed team from Elkhorn this was a slaughter because we won 14-3 and I had 3 goals and 5 assists in that game which is pretty good, and finally for 3rd and 4th place we played Pewaukee and lost 3-2 in 4 overtimes AHHH!! Ir really ticked me off cause my coach made some poor decisions in the overtimes but hey its just a tourney and doesnt go on the record so I'll brush it off my shoulders.
